Clara Mill is a French artist. With a background as a songwriter, her artistic research also integrates video, photography and drawing. Graduated from Spéos in 2014, she is based in London.Clara Mill, « The Roots »
Molto prima di catturare una fotografia, Clara Mill entra in un processo di scrittura. In un mondo di perpetua evoluzione e rivoluzione, dove il ritmo comune è il più importante, lei sceglie di testimoniare sull’Unico “dell’essere umano. Pensa che la vita sia un viaggio che rivela lentamente la spina dorsale, l ‘”architettura” della relazione, dell’essere umano e di un mondo invisibile. Nel suo processo creativo, usa la fotografia, il disegno, la pittura e la scrittura per scolpire e comporre la sua cattura fotografica finale. Il suo lavoro è una ricerca infinita di identità, che inquadra la sua immagine da una prospettiva diversa, dando al pubblico l’opportunità di avvicinarsi e confrontarsi con la scena da una prospettiva diversa.

“Sono cresciuto in campagna. La casa era lontana, fuori dal villaggio, persa nei campi, vicino al fiume e alla foresta, circondata dal paesaggio e dagli alberi. La mia infanzia era piena di immaginazione e di fantastici scenari, camminando da sola tutto il giorno nella parte oscura di questa favolosa natura e parlando agli animali e agli alberi. Questa sarà sempre la mia casa. Ho sviluppato questa relazione come radici che crescono nella terra, profondamente legate a questa solitudine e silenzio, alle bellezze intatte: siamo connessi, faranno sempre parte del mio immaginario fantastico, spaziale, irreale e immaginario … radici, tutte queste ramificazioni che sono specifiche per ognuno di noi, e che sono al di sotto della nostra pelle e anima: piene di colori come fuochi d’artificio che esplodono fuori di noi, o che portano alla luce l’essenziale in una visione in bianco e nero.”
I grew up in the countryside. The house was far away, outside the village, lost in the fields, near the river and the forest, surrounded by the landscape and the trees. My childhood was full of imagination and fantastic sceneries, walking alone all day long in the dark part of this fabulous nature and speaking to the animals and the trees. This will always be my home.
I have grown this relationship like roots growing into the earth, deeply linked to this solitude and silence, to the untouched beauties: we are connected, they will always be part of my fantastic, spacial, unreal, and fiction imaginary side…The roots, all these ramifications that are specific to each of us, and are underneath our skin and soul: Full of colors like fireworks exploding outside us, or bringing to light the essential in a Black & White vision.”
